THE FOAM TECHNIQUE
To extend the life span of Bonaire’s road network and give it a strong foundation again, we apply a special technique with the use of bit foam. First we mill the road and hack the top layer into small pieces, while at the same time applying the bit foam technique and adding water, bitumen, and cement. On top of this new foundation we lay a new layer of asphalt. The result is a long-lasting road, a reduction of both cost and labor by at least 20%, and a lesser impact on the environment.
